About the Car

For decades now, the Golf has always been the go-to choice for drivers across the country. It’s everything you could possibly want from a car and then some more. It’s stylish, well-equipped, and most importantly, safe and ideal for everyday life.

Volkswagen are always ahead of the curve when it comes to releasing new models and the Golf MK8 is no different. The design is completely brand new, yet, still carries the Golf’s distinctive style. ‘R-Line’ models and above, also feature plenty of cosmetic extras such as the ‘R-Line’ styling pack which includes different front and rear bumpers, radiator grille and side skirts, 17-inch ‘Valencia Alloy wheels, and the pièce de résistance, interior ambient lighting of which there are 30 different colours to choose from!

Inside, the cabin is spacious and more than accommodating for four adults or if you have young children, three sat abreast. There is plenty of headroom in the cabin and the front passenger seats come with plenty of different seat adjustments to suit most drivers. There are also ISOFIX fittings on the rear bench so child seats can be securely fastened in place. At the back, the rear boot loadspace is good for a couple of large suitcases or the weekly shop.

Similar to previous models, the Golf also offers a refined driving experience. There is minimal road noise in the cabin and the engine isn’t loud or choppy, which is especially useful when driving in town at lower speeds. There’s good visibility, so parking isn’t an issue, but you do also get the added benefit of having front and rear parking sensors as standard. R Line models also feature different driving modes from Eco to Sporty which transforms the way the car behaves and can be adapted to suit your driving style.
