About the Niro

The Kia Niro is a fantastic ‘all-rounder’ designed for everyday life. It’s not only great to look at, but it’s practical and comes equipped with one of the best self-charging hybrid systems currently in the market.

Compared to similar vehicles of this size, there are fewer options that stand out quite like the Niro. The latest model is an incredibly handsome-looking vehicle with its sharp angular design, bold body lines and its new two-tiered front end.

Inside, the cabin is equally as cool. There are two large infotainment displays and the main touchscreen is nestled within the centre of the dashboard and is available with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ is a great way of connecting your smartphone to your car. You can use Siri, or Hey Google voice controls to send or read text messages, call your contacts, change your songs, or even ask for directions! It’ll also display certain apps on your infotainment system allowing for quick and easy access whenever you’re on the move.

The quality of the materials used within this car deserves a special mention too. All of it is made from recycled material and feels extremely plush and nice to touch too. Everything has been meticulously put together so the Niro does away with any annoying rattles and the engine, and wind noise is kept to a bare minimum allowing for supreme comfort on any journey.

There’s also plenty of space on offer throughout the cabin. There’s plenty of head and leg room to suit all types of passengers and will easily accommodate up to five adults with relative ease. In the boot, you’ve got access to 451 litres of load space and with the shape of the boot, you’re able to fit plenty in. There are also tie-down points and a 12-volt socket if you need to use them.

With its balanced suspension coupled with great all-around visibility, you’ll find that the Niro works well around town. On the motorway, there’s plenty of grunt from its hybrid engine to easily cruise at 70MPH. Kia has also fitted plenty of driver assistance systems as standard to make long-distance driving simpler. Lane keep assist, lane follow assist, forward collision assist and smart cruise control are all fitted as standard, which helps with tallying off the miles easily.

For the standard hybrid, there’s a quoted 64.2mpg on the combined cycle, while emissions are 100g/km CO2.
