Starting with its design, the EQE shares a lot of similarities with the current Mercedes ‘EQ’ line-up. Its sloping roofline and curvy design grants the car an understated road presence matching the ‘silent’ driving experience an EV brings to the table.
Step inside the cabin, and a similar story continues with its dynamic dashboard design paired with luxurious material lavished throughout. The ultra-wide leather seats are also incredibly comfortable and perfect for those long-distance journeys. At nearly 5 meters long, space is also in abundance and this car will easily accommodate up to five adult passengers with complete ease.
As standard, the EQE comes equipped with all the necessary features such as sat nav, wireless smartphone charging and connectivity, front and rear parking sensors with a reversing camera, heated front seats, and keyless entry and unlocking. The EQE also provides a configuration option allowing the driver or passenger to change the ambient interior colour from 64 different colour options, or 10 different pre-set profiles.
When it comes to driving the EQE, this car sets the standards of showing modern EV technology. It not only comes with a huge 380-mile range but can charge to 80% (from 10%) in just 31 minutes on a 170 kW DC rapid charger. It’s also incredibly fun to drive as this car outputs 245hp and will reach 62 MPH from standing start in just 7.3 seconds with a maximum top speed of 130MPH!
Despite its impressive performance figures, the car prioritizes comfort and refinement above all else, and this is especially transparent when using the car around town, or on the motorway. The cabin is quiet with great insulation to keep road noises to a minimum. The steering and braking are also incredibly responsive which helps to keep the car planted. The EQE also offers fantastic all-around visibility, which paired with the driver assistance features helps the car maneuver and park into the tightest spots.
