The Skoda Octavia Estate has been named “Best Estate Car” for 2014 by Diesel Car magazine.
The Octavia’s victory in the “Best Estate Car” category was one of several highlights for Skoda on the night, with three “highly commended” recommendations for the Octavia Estate, the Skoda Superb and the Skoda Octavia vRS, at the magazine’s Car of the Year awards.
Speaking about the Octavia Estates’ triumph, Diesel Car Editor, Ian Robertson, said: “Clever thinking and roominess are two of Skoda’s watchwords and medium cars don’t get more spacious than the Octavia Estate.
“With an enormous 1,740 litres of space on offer with the seats folded down, you have room for everything family life can throw at it.”
The current Octavia boasts a wheel-base which has been expanded by 11cm over its predecessor, creating greater space within cabin.
Maximum boot capacity is 1,740 litres and trim can include a driver-fatigue sensor, an automatic post-collision brake, lane assistant and new generation radio and radio-navigation systems.
The car can offers it drivers 64.2 mpg and CO2 emissions of 114g/km.
