Questions To Ask before Leasing A Car
When you lease a car or van from Flexed, we aim to make the whole process as easy as possible. Our friendly, helpful and experienced team are on hand to guide you through the leasing process from start to finish, so everything runs smoothly with the least amount of fuss.
If you’re new to vehicle leasing, there are a few questions you should be asking yourself before you jump straight in and start leasing a car, so to ease you in gently into the wonderful world of short term leasing, here are 5 questions you might want answers to before beginning your leasing journey with Flexed:
- What type of car should I lease?
- Can I afford it?
- How does short term leasing work?
- Are there any benefits to take advantage of?
- What happens at the end of my lease contract?
To help you fully understand what to expect when you lease a car or van from Flexed for personal use on a short term lease or for long term rental (select vehicles only), let’s answer each question individually in more depth.
1. What Type Of Car Should I Lease?
This is a tough one and possibly the hardest part of the whole leasing process. You might want to drive a luxury SUV but in reality, all you need is a smaller car such as the Kia Picanto for nipping around town in.
A cool convertible such as the Mercedes-Benz E300 AMG Line Premium Cabriolet may be the car of your dreams ahead of spring/summer but is it really what you should be driving when you have two children that need running from one after-school activity to another, in between trips to the shops!Choosing the right one is all about deciding what’s the best car for you right now, at this moment in time and giving it careful consideration before leaping straight in – you can always revisit the ‘dream car’ once the children have left home.
2. Can I Afford It?
Once you’ve sensibly decided which car to lease, you need to make sure you can afford to pay for it. When you lease a car from Flexed, your payments will be taken from your bank account once a month, so it’s vital that you’re in full control of your finances and know exactly what’s coming in and going out every month so as not to stretch yourself too much.
Think ahead to the future rather than just living in the moment, ensuring you know that if circumstances changed, you can still keep up with the monthly payments.
3. How Does Short Term Leasing Work?
Our short term car leases are the ideal choice if you’re looking to lease a new car but don’t want to be tied into any kind of long term contract. With our 28 day rolling contracts, you only have to keep the car of your choice for a minimum of 28 days and after this period is up, you get to decide whether to lease for longer, return the vehicle without obligation or swap to another model or make, with no additional charges to pay either!
If you want to lease or rent a car for 28 days or more, but don’t want to be tied into any long-term commitments, then Flexed is for you.
4. Are There Any Benefits To Take Advantage Of?
Yes, there are when you lease a new car from Flexed on a short term basis. Here’s what’s included within your 28 day rolling contract:
- Road Tax
- Manufacturer Warranty
- Breakdown Cover
- Vehicle Maintenance
- 1,250 miles a month (additional mileages available)
- Fast turnaround for new vehicles (pickup or collection)
All that’s left for you to cover is the insurance (must be a fully comprehensive insurance policy when leasing) and fuel, then you’re ready to go!
5. What Happens At The End Of My Lease Contract?
Once your lease period ends, the vehicle will be inspected, the keys handed back in and your contract will be closed. Any outstanding deposits or rental days will be refunded back to you.
