BMW reveal new X6 for 2014
The new BMW could prove to be a Christmas present, with a release date scheduled for December 2014.
The new X6 is to move away from its predecessor, and will be based on the new X5 model.
The key features of the new BMW X6 will include an restyled appearance, based on that X5 model, and an upgraded diesel engine.
A range of engines will be available for customers, including the 30d and M50d and 50i.. The 30d will offer drivers 41.7mpg and 0-62 in 6.7 seconds. The 50i will offer the highest levels of performance in the range, with drivers able to go from 0-62 in 4.8 seconds.
As part of the new look package the X6 will offer to its suitors, the model will include restyled headlights, and grille with air curtains positioned either side of the front grille.
Those looking to buy the new X6 will also be able to take advantage of BMW’s new Design Pure Extravagance option.
This includes modifications for both the interior and exterior of the car. Internally, drivers can expect extended leather and a chrome-button-key feature.
Externally, the Design Pure Extravagance option will offer drivers 20-inch alloy wheels, aluminium surrounds for the window line and stainless steel underbody guards.
