The Car You've Just Bought Is Defective – What Do You Do?

Sometimes, some things just don’t go the way you would have hoped.  There’s almost nothing more frustrating than getting stuck in the seemingly endless roadworks on your morning commute, watching your shopping roll all over the car park because the bag split, or forgetting that you’re only dressed for work from the waist up until you accidentally stand up on an important Zoom meeting…

But there is one thing that tops them all, and that’s having to deal with endless trips to the garage or extortionate repair bills on a car that you’ve only just bought!

You’d expect your new car to be working perfectly, right?

Whether it’s a brand-new model or one with a good few miles on the clock – you’ve bought the car under the pretense that everything is working exactly as it should. The last thing you expect is to have to worry about being stranded on the motorway every other week or worrying about what’s going to go wrong next.

With everything happening at the moment with regards to shortages of chips/superconductors, you might have already had to wait quite a lengthy period of time to actually get your hands on your car if you’ve bought a new model too. Having to wait even longer for something to get fixed is going to add even more frustration, and probably leave you without reliable transport. So, what do you do?

Need transport you can trust? We can help…

Here at Flexed, we don’t want you to have to endure frustrating delays or being without transport when you really need it, because we live in a world where reliable transport is a necessity, and when things go wrong it can throw everything off track. We want to help ease your frustration and get you back on the road with confidence.

If you’re waiting for your car to be fixed, or you’ve had to return a defective vehicle that simply isn’t up to the standards that you deserve and are having to wait for a replacement, we’ve got your back.

Our flexible short-term lease options are the perfect way to bridge the gap between discovering the problem or being told about the wait and actually getting the car you wanted and needed in the first place. We can provide you with a vehicle that you can actually rely on for as little as just 28 days, meaning you’ve got the transport you need when you need it.

What if the delay on your new car being fixed/replaced gets extended?

We know that delays in getting a car fixed or replaced can often end up taking longer than you were initially told. More often than not, there’s usually some form of complication or backlog that means getting your situation sorted becomes even more drawn out. That’s where the flexibility of our contracts comes in handy.

If you’ve got a short-term lease with us on a 28-day contract and you suddenly discover that the delay is going to take even longer, we can accommodate that. Increasing the duration of your lease is simple, so you don’t have to worry about being left without transport yet again. We don’t force you into long-term commitments either, so you’re free to cancel your lease contract when the car you purchased is all fixed up or ready to be replaced.

Are lease cars more reliable?

At Flexed, we’re dedicated to keeping you on the road. We ensure that every single vehicle we lease is in the best possible condition before you get into the driver’s seat. We don’t want to put you in the same position as you could be in with the car you’ve just bought…

However, if the worst should ever happen and your lease car does break down, we’ll be there for you. We provide breakdown cover as standard in our flexible 28-day lease contracts. It’s included in the price, and it’s always there, giving you complete peace of mind should anything go wrong. We’ll usually swap your vehicle for another one too, and if you’re not happy with the make or model chosen? Well, you’ll have the option to try out something a little different. Because we take the same approach with car selection as we do with the rest of our contracts – we don’t tie you into commitments, meaning you don’t have to stick with a vehicle you’re unhappy with.

What else is included in a Flexed 28-day lease contract?

Like we said, we want to give you complete peace of mind when you’re leasing a car from us, no matter how long you have the vehicle for. That’s why our 28-day lease contracts include as standard:

  • Breakdown cover
  • 24-hour emergency assistance
  • Vehicle recovery
  • Maintenance
  • UK road tax
  • A 15,000 miles-per-annum (calculated pro rata) allowance

We can also provide you with fully comprehensive car insurance as an optional extra, removing the hassle of having to endlessly call insurance providers and scour comparison sites to find the right deal for the length of time that you need the car for. We simply do all the leg work for you, and our insurance covers yourself as well as two additional drivers for your chosen vehicle.

It’s never been easier to get your hands on a vehicle you can rely on, even if it’s only for a short period of time to tide you over until your new purchase is fixed/ready.
